It's six o'clock in the morning, all I can think about is how I have triumphed over their arts and temptations. Those who have collectively constituted antichrist, and tried to turn me away from the truth. "Because greater is he that is in me, than he that is in the world." The reason I have received so much blessings in my life is because of the dwelling God has on my heart. With strength and grace alone, I have achieved victory. I was able to have the power over Satan. This is why "HE>i". This is why He will forever reside in my heart.

What can I say? I have had an amazing journey these past three months. God has blessed me with a chance to better myself, my talent, and network with extremely talented people. I have been able to take the time out to think about what is I need most in life. With Christmas being here, I realize what I need most is my family; and a little "me time" to remember where is it I came from, and where it is I am trying to go.

Mooz-lum is a movie that offers a different perspective on Muslim/Islam than what is normally portrayed. Inspired by the movie, I decided embrace some of the aesthetics of the religion, as well as, its relations.  Starring Evan Ross as, devout Muslim, Tariq Mahdi wrestles with his religious identity while attending college in the US following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The movie is an engrossing entertainment that keeps you out of your seat. As you begin to see how your religion becomes your identity even when you despise it.

I am developing a love for the color burgundy and appalling-shiny eccentrics. Most importantly, these Cobian sandals from Aldos. The combination of a sneaker and sandal adds more points to the board. Besides it is perfect for all seasons. For the right sock would look mind-blowing with it during the fall season. Anyway, these pieces would only enhance my collection. Enjoy!

There has been days where my love has not fulfilled the law (God's word), but it is only because I felt at a halt. My body has become more adhere to sleeping and working. Before I departed from New York, the ladies and I decided to go out for a night of good eats and fun. The night started off a bit slow, but before you knew it shots of Soju were being passed around. Now, we all know what the results of consuming alcohol are. Well maybe not...all judgement is lost, and you become more free-spirited. Luckily, I did not need to consume too much drinks to have a great time.

COLOR HUE TINT SHADE PART 1. Wow! These last few weeks have been a blessing. My classmates and I have been designing for our school exhibition for weeks now.  And for it to finally come alive is a blessing.  For the first time, I felt as if I was surrounded by people who shared the same talents as I did. I can only thank God for doing so. The long hours put into the exhibition was better than the outcome. As I become more involved in my field, I become more in love with it. I would not change it for anything in the world.

Two weeks ago, I went out with a few friends from my major to celebrate a successful installation to our exhibition. What I did not know is I was in for a cultural change. As we waited outside for about ten minutes, we had reviewed the menu on what it is we want. Most everyone except myself felt they need a beer. Instantly, I knew I was going to be tested. After waiting, one of my friends, Han, led the way down to the bar and restaurant. Thankfully, they all my friends spoke Korean because there was no way I could translated to the waiter what I wanted.

THURSDAY APRIL 5, 2012

BY FAITH. Within the past few weeks, my life has changed dramatically. God has blessed me profusely. For instance, I have been waking up filled with rejoice and happiness. I am excelling in all areas of my schooling. My family is being blessed everyday, as their prayers are being answered by God himself. In Matthews 6:7, God says "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words." I pray to God in very slim words, as I speak about, only praiseworthy things; instead, of speaking about my "wants". In hopes of not only gaining His favor, but for Him to continue to bless me.

A few weeks ago, Rebecca (Best Friend) and I decided to go to Union Square due to the amazing weather. However, as we were sitting in the ends of Union Square. We saw a bundle of StreetStyle, Musicians, and many other creative encores. Besides that, I learned that day there is times where you must  enjoy the present and spend time with the ones you love. In Proverbs 17:17 it says "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need". I'm learning to visualize how much true means to me and others that encompass me. I thought when I arrived to New York. I would never find a friend that will accept me for all that comes with me. Well, I was proven wrong. Rebecca and I are growing to be an ultimate "duo" as I say call it. Even though, we have our days and own issues. We always find our way back to each other. With all things, I do need to realize I must keep faith in our friendship because any unlawful decision can stumble upon. This will test my will and loyalty to mend what ever issue there may be together. Hopefully, we will not come to that road of separation. Proverbs 20: 6 also says "Many will say they are loyal friends, but who can find one who is truly reliable." I know every individual has this issue or thinking when it comes to friendships, or relationships in general. In any way, we all must know and understand. We come across at least one or two "truly reliable" friends, however, we may not notice until God places visionary proof of thought in your mind; declaring the person fate in your life. I realize the road of friendship is only increasing for the better. I have to keep faith, or else I will be living in mere deception. Before, I conclude. I need for all of you to think about this passage for it may help you understand what a "True Friendship" is:

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12

Mannequin Diary

MANNEQUIN DIARY. For the past few weeks, I have been heavily active building a design for our Annual Exhibition. This year  the set theme is all about "color" and using it with a monochromatic scheme. Each of who we have our design in the exhibition have to most importantly "sell the product" which corresponds with color we received. Fortunately, I received the infamous "NEON FLUORESCENT PINK" striking isn't it? It sure is. I must say I am quite pleased with my selection. Since throughout this process of my designing so far. I have received a lot of great feedback from bystanders and classmates who seen me putting countless hours into my concept. This leadings to my concept of designing the Tomber Raider, Jurassic Park inspired rondevu where the mannequin will be morphing into a muted dinosaur, leopard creature. Who is also, a master of disguise. If you ask me it is quite genius, just wait see. To add, I am collaborating with a good friend and classmate, Shan Khan. She has also contributed numerous ideas on our practice of design. Tomorrow, we will be working extremely hard in collectively in putting the design together.  However, I thought it would be a great idea on your part to know what it is I am up to, and what I love to do as a Visual Designer. Updates

UPDATES. Oh what a blessing it is to be alive! For the past fews days, I have been forever content. Grasping more and more knowledge from my God. He has been so good to me lately, and I thank Him for everything. As I take not anything for granted. Every Morning, I am faced with deeds of the evil man, but God has shielded me every time. The bible states "The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life." Proverbs 10:11. I must say I am well of life now that, my relationship with God is forever progressing further. I also learned by my earthly father that God states "Make no friends with an evil man" 22:24. Ever since, I was given that knowledge any man that I find evil or spread slander upon the Lord. I, immediately, avoid it. For I find there is no space for such man in my God's kingdom.

Moreover, God has given me a new outlook on the way I speak. Teaching me, to speak with grace so that I may know how to answer every man. As my lessons that I learn through schooling has become more easier for me. I am able to process my thinking better, and gain understanding from others around. If you ask me, God is a glorifier. He has blessed and is continue to bless me all because I sought out his wisdom. For that I shall not forget his commandments. Trust in Him, and lean not on my own understanding.

I'd thought it would be nice to show you guys a bit of my life and moments captured. Life has been rapidly moving lately, but I have a lot of new things in store for you guys. I wish everyone a wonderful and fruitful weekend. God bless and may 'grace be unto you'!

Baptism

BAPTISM. Last Saturday, I went home for vacation to attend my mother's baptism. When I arrived home, I immediately settled myself in. Placing all of my belongs in their designated areas. Before I knew it, I was eating all of my favorite foods and sweets. At that point, I was glad to be home.Moreover, the following day I returned to the house of the Lord. Where my mother was prepared to be baptized by our Pastor. As I watched her enter the pool of water, I could see an intent glow as if God was there welcoming her into His kingdom. However, I could see as she smiles into the Pastor's eyes, her heart filled with fear. The moment the Pastor finished introducing the points of the ceremony, he smoothly but quickly dipped my mother in the water. Finalizing her commitment to accept the Lord as her savior. In the end, as she wipes the water off her face, I could see a sudden relief and weight lifted off her shoulder.  Mostly importantly, a new life, a new woman, and a new daughter of God formed.
